After living across countries in Asia, Africa, and North America, I found my home in Vancouver, BC. Immersing myself in various cultures and communities fueled my passion for understanding human behavior. To deepen my knowledge, I pursued a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from SFU, Canada, and later earned a Master of Science degree in Forensic Psychology from Florida, USA. My research projects explored topics such as decision-making, sexual abuse, cyber dating violence, cognitive processing of attention, and family interventions for preventing youth gang violence. After developing a deep understanding of cognitive processes and human behavior, I underwent training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches to promote mental health.
In my free time, I enjoy travelling and learning about historical landmarks. While in Vancouver, I love to explore and enjoy this beautiful land and its rich multiculturalism.
“My passion is to help people who are experiencing challenges build a more meaningful and enjoyable life. I pride myself on employing a collaborative and compassionate approach while fostering a safe and inclusive space for sharing and exploring. My goal is to journey with my clients while they process the past, find acceptance, define new goals, and find new confidence, love and peace. I believe every person deserves to live a life of happiness.
Through my professional training and experience in the mental health field, I have been inspired to work with individuals, couples and families, from a variety of backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, and stages of life. Specifically, I am passionate about helping those facing the impact of trauma, suicidal ideation, depression, self-harm, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, gender dysphoria, and addictions.
My approach to therapy combines Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Eco-systemic family therapy as well as Gottman Method when working with couples. I also utilize mindfulness, laughter yoga, and somatic techniques to calm the body as we process what is in the mind. Overall my approach is simple; to teach my clients to accept their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and learn new techniques to change whatever is no longer serving them.”-

My Therapeutic Approach
My goal is to journey with my clients while they process the past, find acceptance, define new goals, and bolster self-confidence. I specialize in providing therapeutic treatments to clients struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, self-harm, and emotion dysregulation. Additionally, I address concerns relating to trauma, gender fluidity, and relationship challenges. Given the right tools, I believe every person can create a life filled with meaning and happiness.
Rooted in the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), my approach also integrates elements from the Gottman Couples method, Ecosystemic Family Therapy, Attachment and Trauma-based theories, and neurocognitive frameworks. I pride myself on employing a compassionate approach while fostering a safe and inclusive space for sharing and exploring.
Through collaboration, I provide feedback based on the assessment process and work with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan. Overall, my approach is simple; to guide my clients to embrace their emotions, challenge their thoughts and behaviours, and equip them with new techniques to reshape patterns that no longer serve their well-being.
